Free Admission for Military
All active duty and retired personnel from all five branches of the military, including Reservists and members of the National Guard, and their families will receive complimentary access to the tournament at TPC Canyons on Thursday, October 11 and Friday, October 12 and at TPC Summerlin from Monday, October 8 through Sunday, October 14.
Hospitality Chalet with Food & Beverages
A 30’ x 40’ hospitality chalet will be available on the right side of the 18th fairway at TPC Summerlin for military personnel and their families, providing shade and complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages. This will also serve as a place for tournament patrons to thank the troops for the many sacrifices they make every day fighting for our freedom.
Military Appreciation Day
Saturday, October 13th has been designated as “Military Appreciation Day.” A Patriotic Celebration will take place following the final putt on the 18th green featuring the Nellis AFB Color Guard and the Nellis Men’s Quartet performing the National Anthem. Tournament patrons and military personnel and their families will then be invited to “The Hill” for a Red Bull sponsored celebration.
Player Introductions
Twelve elite military personnel from Nellis Air Force Base have been selected to make Player introductions in their full service dress on the 1st and 10th tees Thursday, October 11 and Friday, October 12 and on the 1st tee Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14 at TPC Summerlin.
Military Job Fair
Las Vegas area businesses have been invited to participate in a job fair exclusively for military personnel from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13 in the military hospitality chalet.
PODS Collection of Holiday Gifts
A PODS collection bin will be placed in the general parking area Friday, October 12 through Sunday, October 14 for tournament patrons to donate unwrapped children’s gifts as a jumpstart to Nellis’ “Operation Warm Heart” program and Toys for Tots.
Golf Clinic
Tuesday, October 9, PGA TOUR Players, Chris Riley and Ken Duke, will host a golf clinic at Sunrise Vista Golf Course on Nellis Air Force Base for children and young airmen. In exchange, Nellis AFB will be providing the Players participating with a special inside the ropes “Aviation Tour” prior to the clinic, including the Thunderbird hangar, Thunderbird Museum and the MQ1 Predator, an unmanned aerial vehicle used in combat over seas.
